The next city in our museum risk snapshots series is Ottawa, home to seven of Canada’s nine national museums where you can discover the capital city’s rich cultural heritage. According to the Pinkerton Crime Index, Laurier House National Historic Site — the former residence of two of Canada’s prime ministers located in downtown Ottawa — scored the lowest at 0.5x for total crime, although we would consider nine of these museum locations low risk, scoring equal to or less than 1.0x, or the national average for crime risk in Canada. So, get out there and appreciate Canada’s artistic treasures. And be safe.
