Active shooters create the challenge of how to protect public spaces.

In the United States and other countries, a stark reality is the relatively new threat active shooters present. Recent attacks at retail outlets, entertainment venues, and public spaces have created a major challenge to those responsible for securing those locations. 

Jason Porter, Vice President of Operations, recently spoke with Public Security Today, saying the challenge risk management personnel face is that while they are charged with “providing a secure and safe environment, they also have to have an open environment to draw the crowd.”
