Physical security officers have begun to let their guard down when it comes to AI.

Artificial Intelligence in the wrong hands is a major concern for Vice Chairman Tim Williams. AI threatens to make cyber attack more impactful and difficult to defend. Yet, Tim believes physical security officers have begun to let their guard down with predictable routines and tasks, creating at atmosphere ripe for attacks.

In an interview with Public Security Today, Tim suggests the key is consistent and up-to-date training. “The most critical element is thoughtful, realistic and informative training and education. Employees at all levels should have training on emergency procedures, cyber-security risks and the importance of related processes. This requires the same thinking, focus and energy as driving a major product marketing campaign.”
