Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Security & Third Party Audit Lead, assigned to one of Pinkerton's largest global clients, will manage the security programs with contract manufacturing (CM) and original design manufacturer (ODM) partners to build innovative consumer electronics hardware and ensure the secrecy and security of the client's intellectual property at contract manufacturing sites and third party locations. The Lead supports the effort to design, implement, and validate best practices with security programs, review third parties' security programs and posture to reduce risks in the manufacturing environment. This role builds strategic relationships with internal teams and external vendors to develop long term strategy to mitigate risks. This position will have a hybrid work schedule (in office/remote).

Essential Functions:

  1. Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  2. Support third party CM/ODM vendor manufacturing site activities, such as production area security programs, warehouse security programs, infrastructure security programs.
  3. Provide guidance on best in class intellectual property protection programs for confidential projects and programs.
  4. Maximize partnerships with internal and external management staff from business teams such as Operations, Hardware Engineering, Legal, Security partners, and other cross functional teams along with third-party vendor teams.
  5. Conducts onsite and virtual assessments of all client contract manufacturing sites to identify physical security vulnerabilities.
  6. Manage onsite assessment and audit process while adhering to principles of auditing as listed in ISO 19011.
  7. Conduct assessments and audits, documentation verification, and validation of procedures or physical security items provided by the supplier.
  8. Apply auditing principles, analyze records, prepare reports, and recommend improvements.
  9. Facilitate communication between management, audit participants, and third parties.
  10. Partner closely with other vertical teams to ensure compliance of business protocols and practices.
  11. Develop and maintain standards, risk management approaches, and internal checks and balances.
  12. Coordinate and facilitate meetings with internal and external partners.
  13. Conduct project planning and execution.
  14. Connect gaps observed with cross functional teams.
  15. Monitor third parties and ensure adherence to supplier contracts and/or the physical security addendum, and that customer requests are being met.
  16. Monitor and oversee the program from the point of a product conception to downcycling and supporting works to protect projects while supporting development teams to keep projects moving forward.
  17. Assist with the end-to-end process of the audit management system to ensure customer requests are met.
  18. Assist with creating, distributing, and maintaining the audit program.
  19. Conduct assessments/audits and documentation verification and validation of procedures or physical security items provided by the supplier.
  20. Apply auditing principles, analyze records, prepares reports and recommendation for improvements.
  21. Conducts opening and closing meetings with GPS and third party.
  22. Maintains confidentiality of the audit information of third-party suppliers.
  23. All other duties, as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree with at five to ten years of experience coordinating contract manufacturing and original design manufacturer partner activities including auditing within a security environment.
