Job Summary:

The Dynamics Field Service Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing customized solutions within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service application. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver effective solutions that enhance our field service operations.

Essential Functions:

  1. Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  2. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate these into technical specifications for the development team.
  3. Design, develop, and implement customizations, configurations, and integrations within Dynamics 365 Field Service to meet specific business needs.
  4. Customize Dynamics 365 entities, forms, views, dashboards, and workflows. Configure field service features such as work orders, scheduling, and resource management.
  5. Develop and manage integrations between Dynamics 365 Field Service and other systems using Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, and custom APIs.
  6. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Dynamics 365 Field Service issues and collaborate with support teams to resolve any system-related problems.
  7. Conduct unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing to ensure the quality and functionality of customizations and configurations.
  8. Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for customizations, integrations, and system configurations.
  9. Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure successful project delivery.
  10. Provide training and support to end-users and other team members as needed.
  11. Share responsibility with teammates for occasional after-hours on-call rotation for support of production-level systems.
  12. Be a part of the full application lifecycle (design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain) and innovate in each step.
  13. All other duties, as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered. Minimum of five years of experience in developing and customizing Dynamics 365 CRM applications, ideally Field Service. Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Dynamics 365 Field Service, including entity customization, form design, and workflow automation.
  • Proficiency in C#, JavaScript, and HTML for developing custom plugins and web resources.
  • Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Azure Logic Apps for integration and automation.
  • Familiarity with Dataverse (formerly Common Data Service) and Dynamics 365 integration patterns.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work successfully with teams across the organization.
  • Willing to learn new technologies and architectures and apply them accordingly.
  • Effective problem-resolution skills.
  • Serve as an effective team leader.
  • Unit testing and test-driven development experience.
