Actors Martha MacIsaac (“Superbad,” “The Last House on the Left”) and Jacob Blair (“Dark Rising,” “Warrior of Worlds,” “Om Sweet Om”) will join Angus Macfadyen (“Turn,” “Braveheart”) as leads in Rosetta Media and Buffalo Gal Pictures original 22-episode drama, THE PINKERTONS TV Series. Production of this action-adventure detective series has begun in Winnipeg and Toronto. The series will premiere Oct. 4 in first run syndication in the U.S., where it has been cleared in over 93 percent of the country by Rohrs Media Group on station groups including Tribune, Weigel, Hearst, LIN, Meredith, Cox and the CW Plus. Rosetta Media and Buffalo Gal Pictures recently completed a deal with Peter Tortorici’s Group M Entertainment, the content division of one of the largest media buyers in the world, Mediacom. Group M has a partnership with CHCH in Ontario, who will be the Canadian broadcaster of the series.

Additionally, the producers are collaborating with Pinkerton, which still operates today as a global risk management agency. The collaboration will provide show producers with access to authentic memorabilia, historic case files from their archives and consulting and expertise. THE PINKERTONS (TV Series) draws on the real cases of Pinkerton’s National Detective Agency founder Allan Pinkerton (Macfadyen), his son William (Blair), and America’s first female detective Kate Warne (MacIsaac), as they solved crimes throughout the Wild West during the 1860’s. The agency revolutionized detective work with new risk management practices such as surveillance, undercover work and the mug shot. THE PINKERTONS (TV Series) is executive produced by Suzanne Berger, president of Rosetta Media, and Phyllis Laing, president of Buffalo Gal Pictures. Series creators Kevin Abrams of Alpine Labs and Adam Moore will also serve as executive producers and writers. Larry Lalonde and Phil Bedard (“Murdoch Mysteries”) are the Canadian showrunners. Amuse Inc., a Japanese production and management company, is also executive producing. MacIsaac is repped by APA, The Characters, manager Francis Okwu, and attorney Scott Whitehead. Blair is repped by Edna Talent Management Ltd and manager Gordon Gilbertson. Peleton Entertainment’s Todd Berger packaged “The Pinkertons” and arranged financing for the series.
