Pinkerton, a global provider of comprehensive risk management services, including security consulting and investigations, executive protection, employment screening, and protective intelligence, has opened its new location in Downtown Chicago. Pinkerton President Jack Zahran made the announcement.

The new office, located in the Chicago Loop, will offer clients in the immediate Chicago area and across Illinois access to Pinkerton’s full spectrum of reliable business risk management services and solutions, including, global screening, security risk management, investigations, protective security, response services, intelligence services, and more.

“Pinkerton has a rich history in Chicago, where founder Allan Pinkerton opened the company’s first physical office location in 1850,” said Zahran. “We’re excited to return to the place where it all started for Pinkerton and offer our comprehensive, holistic risk management services to the thousands of businesses across the city and throughout the state.”

Pinkerton operations manager Jim Allison will head the Chicago location, where he will be responsible for the general oversight of the day-to-day operational functions of the office. He has 29 years of experience in law enforcement and corporate security working for the U.S. Department of Justice in a variety of roles, including chair of the Professional Review Board, national coordinator for emergency management functions, assistant special agent in charge and supervisory special agent. Allison received his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University.

Pinkerton has 32 locations across the country, and an additional 25 locations worldwide—including Mexico, India, Germany, China and England.
