Earlier this year we looked at the state-level crime risk scores for one of our Pinkerton Crime Index (PCI) countries, the United States. Next, we’ve traveled to the United Kingdom where we looked at how each of the U.K.’s nine regions ranked on PCI, by crime type — violent crime, property crime, and total crime.
According to PCI, it’s a clean sweep for Northern Ireland, which ranks lowest in violent, property, and total crime relative to the U.K. national average. South West ranks a close second in lowest total crime risk followed by Eastern.
While these scores represent a snapshot of crime risk, PCI data are updated monthly and reflect the seasonality of crime.
