Pinkerton, the global, historic risk management agency, announced today that it has opened its first branch office in Louisville, KY. Pinkerton Central Region Vice President Ken Carter made the announcement. Pinkerton’s new branch, which will be its first office in Kentucky, is located at 1951 Bishop Lane, near the city’s historic Churchill Downs. The branch, which is one of 33 locations in the United States, specializes in corporate investigations, risk analysis and security consulting for Louisville and the surrounding Kentucky and Indiana region.

Jeremy Bates, director of operations, will oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of the local branch. Bates, who joined Pinkerton in May 2014, has more than 20 years of military, law enforcement and investigative experience. Born and raised in Louisville, he is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, and currently serves as the Secretary of the Louisville Chapter of ASIS International, an international organization of security professionals. He is well versed in risk management and has extensive experience in corporate investigations, investigative interviewing and loss prevention. “As a major shipping and distribution hub, Louisville is an ideal location for Pinkerton to service the numerous global businesses in the area,” said Carter. “Bates and his team will serve as an integral spoke in Pinkerton’s interconnected, global network of security resources and intelligence.”
