Event venues are starting to use facial recognition technology to speed up the ticketing process, identify customers, and in Taylor Swift’s case, scan the crowd for potential stalkers. While safety of talent and fans at events has become a top priority in the past couple of years, does facial recognition cross the line of consent and privacy?
MTV News recently reached out to Jason Porter, Vice President at Pinkerton, to get his thoughts on this technology, “It’s definitely an emerging technology, clients have asked for it.”
