The deadly shooting El Paso, Texas experienced last week, and several threatening events since, have left many retailers re-examining their crisis protocols. Retailers face a challenging situation when it comes to active shooter prevention: they want an open, welcoming atmosphere that attracts customers but that must be balanced with systems and procedures that protect those very same customers.
