Lessons Learned — CMS Final Rule & the All-Hazards Risk Assessment
Aug 22 - 23, 2018

Is your healthcare facility compliant with the CMS Emergency Preparedness Final Rule?

Join subject matter experts from Pinkerton, a global provider of comprehensive risk management services, for a FREE webinar discussing what can go wrong in a healthcare facility and how you can ensure these threats are accounted for in the annual Facility Security Risk Assessment—which must be completed by November 15, 2018.

The purpose of the Emergency Preparedness Rule is to establish a standard for national emergency preparedness requirements and proper planning ahead of both natural and man-made disasters and lessen the effects of catastrophic events like hurricanes, floods and other natural disasters at these facilities. The rule also takes into account active shooter situations, requiring comprehensive training and drills to be a key part of any emergency preparedness plan created as part of the CMS Final Rule. Requirements will apply to all provider and supplier types. Each provider and supplier will have a set of emergency preparedness regulations built into its conditions for certification and facilities must be in compliance with all regulations to participate in the Medicare or Medicaid program. In addition, qualified facilities must demonstrate completion of two exercises, testing their emergency preparedness per annual year. For more information on the emergency preparedness rule, visit
