Job Summary:

The Security Background Investigator, assigned to a specific client, supports the Global Security Investigation Division by coordinating and tracking all third-party background checks. The position will maintain key relationships with staffing to provide responsive and timely background screening processing. This position will have a hybrid work schedule (remote/client location) from Jersey City, NJ.

Essential Functions:

  1. Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  2. Coordination, tracking, and status reporting of background checks to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  3. Establish a working relationship with the background check vendor and Global Security team.
  4. Provide a high level of customer service and partnership with third parties and Customer internal groups/personnel.
  5. Work autonomously to resolve issues and reduce unnecessary delays.
  6. Assist third parties as needed through the background check process and answering questions.
  7. Serve as subject matter expert with third-party background check procedures and policy requirements.
  8. Conduct detective work in relation to ensuring compliance among the business units and third-party management teams associated with onboarding vendors and vendor employees.
  9. All other duties, as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

Associate's degree in intelligence, investigations, political science, law enforcement, statistical analysis, or related field and two years of experience working in Personnel Management, Investigations, Security, or a related field are preferred. Salary & Benefits Information:
Rate of pay: $65000 / year.
