Job Summary:

The Junior Accountant will process financial transactions (including accounts payable, expense reports, cash & bank, billing, etc.) and assist with account analysis and reconciliation. This position will have a remote work schedule (in office/ Client location/remote).

Essential Functions:

  1. Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  2. Evaluate and interpret financial accounting principles and participate in preparation of financial statements.
  3. Driving month end processes, delivering accurate and timely reporting of balance sheet and P&L reconciliations within strict timeframes.
  4. Analyze and monitor various transactions and accounting subledgers.
  5. Undertake accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll duties as required.
  6. Assist with the compilation of tax reporting requirements, including income tax, payroll tax and GST.
  7. Prepare required analysis and reports.
  8. Deliver monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  9. Execute banking transactions.
  10. Contribute to the process improvements throughout the department.
  11. Ensure Australian compliance with GAAP principles.
  12. All other duties, as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Must have CPA License or CPA Candidate.
