Job Summary:

This team within Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) takes a support-focused and cross-functional approach to keeping our workforce and workplace safe. Our program manages escalations of complex situations that involve the safety and well-being of Googlers, extended workers and the workplace in general. The team is comprised of trained professionals on risk and threat assessment with multidisciplinary backgrounds, which allows us to assess the appropriate level of risk based on known presence of various risk factors and offer support.

Essential Functions:

  1. Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  2. Create new Case Summary documents when new cases come in & update existing Case Documents when additional information comes in.
  3. Respond to escalations of new possible concerns via incoming emails to the team, asking the basic: who, what, where, when, why questions to capture details of reported incidents.
  4. Identify opportunities for improvement across cases, ensuring consistency.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support the Workplace Violence Prevention team by keeping the team organized and ensuring no details of concerns reported are overlooked.
  6. Provide the organizational and analytical skills necessary to ensure that threat assessments are handled in a timely and effective manner.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience working in a security, legal/paralegal, safety, human resources, or investigative support role with a strong focus on customer service/victim support.
  • Experience in presenting case findings and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in improving processes and finding efficiencies.
  • Interest in and experience with threat assessment and/or workplace violence prevention.

Competencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong expertise with Gmail and Google Drive (Google Docs, Google Sheets).
  • Critical thinking skills: a puzzle-solver who can think deeper about what questions to ask when a new potential concern comes through.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
