Job Summary:

The Business Analyst, assigned to a specific client, is responsible for supporting the development of a portfolio of products to conduct analysis that will drive business decisions. The Analyst works with the business to understand its needs and develop consistent and scalable end-to-end solutions that fulfill these needs. This position can be based anywhere (remote) within the United States.

Essential Functions:

  1. Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  2. Consult with cross-functional teams to understand available solutions, solve workflow problems, and ensure automation systems are fully leveraged.
  3. Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to understand business performance.
  4. Support development and launch of tooling projects.
  5. Design and build ad hoc tooling solutions for operational needs and custom reporting.
  6. Complete requests related to tooling maintenance with minimal oversight.
  7. Improve systems by analyzing current processes and proposing appropriate modifications;
    • Test business processes and recommend improvements.
    • Identify automation opportunities.
    • Analyze process issues and bottlenecks to make improvements.
    • Develop and maintain reporting tools.
  8. Write clear and well-structured business requirements/documents.
  9. Perform data discovery, analysis and modeling.
  10. Partner closely with engineering teams to define dataset requirements.
  11. Collaborate effectively with other team members and cross-functional partners.
  12. All other duties, as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience in data analysis or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.   • Expertise in Excel including experience writing in VBA.
  • Microsoft PowerApps knowledge preferred.

Salary & Benefits Information:
Rate of pay: $93,000 / year.
