Job Summary:

The Intelligence Analyst, assigned to a specific client, is responsible for monitoring and supporting high-level analysis with data collection, investigations, and formalized client reports. The Analyst provides accurate and timely notifications of findings related to physical crimes, cybercrimes, due-diligence reporting, and fraud attempts impacting the client's business. This position will have a hybrid work schedule (in office/remote).

Essential Functions:

  1. Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  2. Conduct collection and utilization of publicly available information via use of OSINT tools.
  3. Assess and provide formal recommendations for OSINT methodologies and tools.
  4. Collaborate with other intelligence disciplines and subject matter experts to produce or contribute to finished intelligence products, including analytical assessments supported by data.
  5. Organize large data sets and metrics associated with crime, cybersecurity, and fraud.
  6. Conduct comprehensive public record reviews related to individuals and organizations.
  7. Utilize tools and techniques and follow procedures associated with online account takeover activity, payment card fraud, merchant and point-of-sale compromises, cryptocurrency, money mule networks, social engineering schemes, and other fraud types.
  8. Develop expertise to discern trends and warnings and provide an accurate understanding of present and future threats.
  9. Provide proactive information to potential threats.
  10. All other duties, as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree with focus on international relations, cybersecurity, criminal justice or related field with two or more years of analytical, investigative, emergency response or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.   • Proficient in using current intelligence and research tools related to crime, fraud, and the dark web.
  • OSINT or other intelligence analysis training.
  • Able to think critically, write objectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to complete assignments independently at proscribed deadlines.
  • Able to build good relationships internally/externally and establish credibility.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and under adverse and stressful conditions.
  • Excellent ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information, strong judgment, discretion and diplomacy.
  • Computer skills; Microsoft office.
