Job Summary:

The Intelligence Analyst position is an embedded role with one of Pinkerton's global technology clients. As a part of the Duty of Care program, the Analyst provides analytical services on geopolitical and security developments across the EMEA region, which may impact the safety and security of the client's EXPAT community.

Essential Functions:

  1. Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  2. In depth understanding of principal geopolitical and physical security risks and its impact on private sector.
  3. Plan, research, and write regular analytical reports delivering actionable insights.
  4. Brief customers on the threat environment for their reassignment destination.
  5. Ability to work under pressure, demonstrate leadership when required and collaborate effectively with geographically dispersed teams.
  6. Actively monitor regional security incidents to determine potential impact and maintain an awareness of strategic trends throughout the region.
  7. Collect, organize, analyze, evaluate, and interpret complex data with a strong understanding and application of analytical techniques.
  8. Conduct strategic analysis on large data sets to include metrics, physical security trends, aggregate incidents, crime stats, etc.
  9. Identify gaps in current analysis products and develop new solutions, methodologies, and products to help improve reporting, especially with regards to data driven analysis.
  10. Handling multiple simultaneous tasks and prioritize accordingly.
  11. All other duties, as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

Master's degree in risk, global security or intelligence analysis with 5 years relevant security experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.

Competencies:

  • Excellent written and spoken English. Foreign language is a plus
  • Broad understanding of intelligence in world affairs
  • Operational familiarity in position specific regions, preferably with existing network of contacts.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Clarity of thought and analytical flare.
  • Attentive to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with producing interactive data visualization using Tableau.
  • Experience in data mining methods and demonstrated ability to interpret complex data.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment under multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment in emergency situations requiring regulatory considerations.
  • Team Player, someone who can act as an effective and positive team member.
  • Computer skills; Microsoft Office.
