Job Summary:

The Country Security Manager (CSM) provides operational support and advice to the Regional Security Manager (RSM) for provision of our client, a fortune 500 technology business Country Security, in accordance with policy, strategy, and allocated budgetary constraints. Our client needs are rapidly changing in this dynamic work environment, and it is essential the CSM maintains a flexible, logical, open minded, and adaptive approach. By combining your corporate security management skills and experience, creativity and customer focus you will support and ensure competitive, technical solutions are deployed in line with Global standards and in the process deliver a world class service.

Essential Functions:

  1. Represent Pinkerton core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  2. Provide physical security SME awareness, advice and recommendations on all UK sites to the client Regional Security Manager (RSM).
  3. Monitor and respond to threats to the client UK staff, business operations and sites.
  4. Undertake formal security programs as directed by the client, including threat and vulnerability assessments, to identify risk.
  5. Propose effective mitigating measures to address risk whilst accommodating needs of the business.
  6. Ensure compliance with security policies at all UK sites.
    • Deliver security programs to assess compliance.
    • Propose remediation where non-compliance is identified.
    • Implement and track remediation.
  7. Provide security input to the design of newbuild/renovation/acquisition projects.
  8. Work closely with non-specialist ‘Security Point of Contact’ (SPOC) staff at remote sites to ensure day-to-day management of site security.
    • Ensure SPOCs are sufficiently trained to undertake their roles.
    • Build and maintain close relationships with SPOCs.
    • Act as the primary point of contact between the SPOC and the client professional security organisation for all physical security issues.
  9. Ensure that site-specific alarm escalation protocols are appropriate and regularly reviewed.
  10. Identify issues leading to false or inappropriate alarm activation and work to address these.
  11. Coordinate activities involving, and provide support to, other elements of the client security organisation (e.g. investigations, technical security systems) relating to UK sites.
  12. Provide security SME input to the client UK Crisis Management Team.
  13. Support the RSM in responding to live security incidents.
  14. Build and maintain relationships with key partners within the business and the external security community.
  15. Work with the manned guarding service provider management team to ensure the appropriate strategic use of manned guarding and response services across UK sites.
  16. Identify the need for security awareness training for the client staff and collaborate with Communication staff to develop appropriate training media.
  17. Ensure that security documentation and information relating to individual sites is complete and accurately maintained.
  18. Act as the Program Lead for the development of allocated EMEA-wide security programs, or support their development as a member of the program working group.
  19. Identify opportunities for improvement in the security service provided to the client and propose solutions.
  20. Collaborate effectively with other Country Security Managers and Regional Security Managers employed across the EMEA region.
  21. Provide budgetary input for forecasting, tracking and bidding purposes.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree and five or more years of security management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
