Job Summary:

The Emergency Response Agent will provide for the welfare, physical protection, and security of site staff by performing armed and/or unarmed protection assignments.

Essential Functions:

  1. Represent Pinkerton core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  2. Provide the client with concierge-level security at the company location and/or events;
    • Deescalate tense situations or individuals that may arise.
    • Write detailed incident reports following any incident, occurence, or variance that warrants documentation.
  3. Conduct quality investigations and complete investigative reports.
  4. Provide response services related to emergency and crisis planning, high risk terminations, workforce disruptions, natural disaster, civil unrest, and threat monitoring.
  5. Identify and escalate equipment deficiencies/failures.
  6. Assist with protection schedules and team assignments, as directed.
  7. Secure the client's campus perimeter;
    • Review CCTV, manage access controls, and respond to alarms, as needed.
  8. Be relied upon as a subject matter expert.
  9. All other duties, as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

Bachelor degree preferred with at least five years of executive protection experience including advance planning, surveillance and counter surveillance operations. Valid CA Guard Card & CCW Permit.

  • Executive protection experience.
  • International experience, preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective independent judgment/decision-making and problem resolution skills.
  • Able to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Concierge-level customer service skills.
  • Computer knowledge; Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment with limited instruction.

  • Exposure to stressful situations, such as challenging individuals who are in or approaching an unauthorized area.
  • Rapid and effective decision-making during unusual or emergency situations.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Frequent sitting, standing and/or walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
  • Regular computer usage.
  • Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and/or customers.
  • Ability to adjust focus between close and distance vision.
  • 24/7 availability.
  • Travel, as required.
