Job Summary:

The Senior Data Manager is responsible for the centralized development, management and coordination of general data management practices, processes and products, as well as the planning, execution, and delivery of a range of projects and outcomes that combine to achieve a specific strategic objective, relating to the Global Information and Data Management Program (GIDM). The Manager is responsible for ensuring the Global Programs and Services (GPS) Data Management team delivers on its mandate of standardising and optimizing data management within the client's corporate security team. 

Essential Functions:

  1. Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  2. Manage and lead the GPS Data Management team, supporting growth and capability-building.
  3. Lead role on critical data-related projects and programs, from inception to completion.
  4. Work directly with senior leadership to define and deliver on data management objectives.
  5. Responsible for the delivery of central corporate security data or information-related products, including business reports (including data analysis, etc.), dashboards and the optimisation of data management practices and platforms (including document management, centralised record-keeping, etc).
  6. Be responsible for the on-time, in-scope and on-budget delivery of program and projects outcomes.
  7. Support the identification and assessment of current or future customer and business requirements (needs analysis).
  8. Support the design, development and delivery of data management systems, infrastructure and resources.
  9. Support the deployment of associated personnel to support data management activities, initiatives and outcomes.
  10. Support the implementation of associated policies, standards and guidelines for effective data management.
  11. Experience delivering data-management solutions including;
    • Data collection techniques and tools.
    • Data analysis techniques and tools.
    • Reports (static & dynamic).
    • Data visualisation.
    • System and process optimisation.
    • Compliance-based solutions (data protection / data security).
  12. Support organizational compliance with relevant legislation (i.e. GDPR), regulation and internal/external requirements.
  13. Support the identification, development, assessment and/or integration of new technologies or initiatives, relating to data management.
  14. All other duties, as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

Bachelor's?degree preferred, with 10 years of data analytics experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.  Industry certification in data science/analytics preferred.

Competencies:

  • Expert knowledge on relevant data management, information security, and data privacy. 
  • Experience in data analytics using SQL, Python, Jupyter or other DA programs.
  • Prior experience in program or complex project management. 
  • Highly attention to details, accuracy, and quality. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities and deadlines.?
