JOB SUMMARY:  The Billing Specialist will set-up new client matters, create invoices for Pinkerton clients, perform research and investigation as needed to ensure accuracy of billing information including communication with Operations and Directors, and ensure invoices are prepared and sent to the clients in a timely and accurate manner.

The Essential Functions Include:
  1. Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  2. Enter new clients and open new matters (projects) in Elite.
  3. Perform data entry - project time - into Elite.
  4. Complete and verify time and associated costs for the project.
  5. Generate invoices based on specific client requirements .
  6. Review invoices and send to the assigned client contacts in a timely manner, after project completion.
  7. Review supporting billing information for accuracy, ensure integrity of invoices to supporting documentation (time and expense records, vendor invoices). Follow-up and resolve outstanding questions and exceptions in a timely manner.
  8. Ensure accuracy of month-end closing process, including accruals of revenue and project related expenses.
  9. Prepare accurate communication via email to employees, Directors, and clients.
  10. All other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Hiring Standards


Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.

  • Must be a Graduate.
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and/or background investigation.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., email, cell phone).
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
  • Must have the legal right to work in India.
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.

Education/Experience


Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred with a minimum of three years of billing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.

  • Billing experience at a US or other international company.
  • Accounts receivable experience..
  • Able to carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision.

  • Able to analyze complex situations and recommend solutions.

  • Computer skills; Microsoft Office.
  • Accounting software experience, Elite/Oracle preferred.
