Richard Thomas is a goal-oriented Director with 15 years of management level experience. Richard joined the Pinkerton family in the role of Director for the Canadian markets. In this role, Richard coordinates and manages all aspects of Operations in Canada. A big believer in leadership, professional service, synergy, and collaborative operational management, Richard began his security career 17 years ago in the field of Loss Prevention. Through 17 years of growth, development, challenge, and change Richard has moved into senior leadership roles in both the Loss Prevention sector and the Corporate Security industry. In his previous role, his experience includes overseeing several Canadian provinces, multiple sites, large scale projects both local and national, hundreds of security agents, supervisors, and managers. Richard Thomas is a qualified Director and holds a Security Management certification, as well as 2 separate diplomas with honors in Security Administration and Policing from Conestoga College. Richard has also completed a Harvard certificate program in the field of Cybersecurity, managing risk in the information age. Richard has received numerous awards in fraud investigation, productivity, and good citizenship through volunteering in the Waterloo Region area of Ontario, Canada.

Richard Thomas has professional experience in assisting with development and growth to small and large scale organizations to maximize their efficiency and achieve sustainable growth. He has a demonstrated ability to deliver on productivity goals, increased efficiencies and maintain high level service quality. In his previous role as Senior Manager of Operations he managed over 400 employees, 12 managers across 4 provinces (Ontario/Manitoba/Nova Scotia/New Brunswick), overseeing all aspects of business operations. He has professional experience at meeting and exceeding KPIs and has developed and delivered on successful strategies to reduce business costs, overtime, as well as increase business profit 10-25% annually. His qualifications in management have enhanced his abilities to carry out these functions, but it is his interpersonal skills that drive his success in fostering strong workplace processes and client/vendor relationships. Richard also possesses a high level of computer literacy and has managed projects that require strong IT skills. His leadership experience with mid to large sized logistic operations and project management has allowed him to develop sound productivity strategies to meet and exceed all requirements. Richard will lead by example and approach all work with energy and enthusiasm.
